For the first time, a. hartrodt Switzerland will participate with its own stand at the "swiss export tag 2023" in Zentrum Schluefweg in Kloten near Zurich International Airport on June 15. The association swiss export is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a competence center for Swiss foreign trade, has around 700 member companies and supports primarily internationally active small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). "95 percent of our customers in Switzerland are SMEs that are currently reviewing their supply chains. We seek direct dialog with them," says Gabriela Aebi-Tövishati, Managing Director of a. hartrodt Switzerland in Basel.

Talks with experts and a game of skill at the stand

At the stand of a. hartrodt Switzerland, in addition to the Managing Director, two sales people as well as one air freight and one project logistics expert will be available to answer questions. Jens Roemer will also be on site as Regional Managing Director for Belgium, France and Switzerland. Visitors can experience for themselves with the game of skill "the hot wire" that logistics is "a highly sensitive chain and must be under control at all times", says Gabriela Aebi-Tövishati.

Sustainable logistics concepts, import customs clearance to be grouped

At a. hartrodt Switzerland, customers exchange information with a fixed contact person. No matter how small the SME is – "for us, the focus is on people", emphasizes the Managing Director. The family-owned company takes responsibility for the service "to satisfy our customer's customers". This includes sustainable logistics concepts that require for example only one truck instead of five. The freight forwarder stores goods and feeds them into the distribution network via its own hub in Germany. "This allows import customs clearance to be grouped," says Gabriela Aebi-Tövishati. In addition, customers save capacities through electronic data exchange with a. hartrodt.

In Switzerland, ten people work for a. hartrodt in Basel. "In the coming months", Gabriela Aebi-Tövishati would like to establish a second location at Zurich airport. She also plans to participate again at the "swiss export tag 2024".
