Austria: a. hartrodt gives a positive interim report

Country Manager Christine Mair consistently expands the office at Vienna Airport.

On April 1st, a. hartrodt Austria celebrates one year of market presence. Since the Austrian company took over the operational business at the beginning of this year, Country Manager Christine Mair gives a positive interim report: "We have shipped a wide variety of goods so far." At Vienna International Airport, three operational experts handle the core business of air and sea freight. The Sales Manager for the Central and Eastern Europe region has also been based at Vienna Airport since the beginning of this year. "We provide customized transport solutions for our customers, from pickup to delivery," says Christine Mair. The team offers experience, expertise, commitment and wants to "keep getting better and better".

Shipping of pharmaceutical and other refrigerated goods

a. hartrodt Austria is developing its air and sea freight business for automotive, industrial plant components, Food & Beverage, machine parts, hazardous goods and medical supplies, among others. It also ships pharmaceutical and other refrigerated goods. At Vienna Airport, there is the Vienna Pharma Handling Center for temperature-sensitive goods, which set a record in 2023 with 3,675 tonnes of pharmaceuticals handled.

Customized transport solutions at the cargo hub for Asia

As one of the fastest growing regions in the world, the Asian market is of enormous importance to a. hartrodt Austria. "Customers benefit from our extensive network throughout Asia with many years of know-how," emphasizes Christine Mair. Because the family-owned company has a regional presence everywhere, "short transit times and the highest service quality can be guaranteed". The airport wants to strengthen its position as a cargo hub for Asia and renewed its cooperation with Incheon International Airport in Seoul (South Korea) and Korean Air in February. In 2023, Vienna recorded a total air cargo volume of 245,009 tons.

Christine Mair is planning "further growth and expansion of the core business". A sales expert will be completing the team by the end of the year. In an additional office, a. hartrodt Austria also plans to offer "courier shipments, truck and rail transportation" in the future.
