Foshan: Relocation and ten-year anniversary
More space for further growth of the local sales team in South China.
Monday party at the Foshan branch of a. hartrodt Shenzhen Logistics: On May 27, 2024, Fan Luo, Managing Director South China, cut a ribbon with the company logo together with the local sales team to mark the move to new premises. Customers, management and the local team were invited. Sales Manager Ada Tang was "impressed" by the opening and anniversary celebration with cake, roast suckling pig, local snacks and fresh fruit. A. hartrodt Foshan started as a representative office in 2005 and today is known as an experienced logistics partner for the tile and ceramic industry. Since 2014, a. hartrodt Foshan has expanded to a branch office and keeps focusing on business development.
Manufacturing hub in the Greater Bay Area
Foshan is located in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and is a manufacturing hub with a growing export volume. Ada Tang gives an example: "Exports of household appliances increased by 1.6 percent to 65.34 billion Chinese yuan in 2023 compared to the previous year". This corresponds to more than 8 billion euros. Business in the GBA "definitely has potential".
Focus on tiles, electrical appliances, lighting
The branch is very experienced in the ceramic and tile business. "In addition to transportation, we also supervise production, check product quality, provide warehousing and lashing services," explains Ada Tang. The family business in Foshan is currently in the process of developing new business with electrical appliances, lighting and the mechanical engineering industry. "This year, we were able to acquire another famous electrical appliance brand as a customer," says the Sales Manager. The new premises offer "more space to grow next year".
Ada Tang has been working for a. hartrodt in Foshan since 2006. She enjoys the new office's view over a "peacefully flowing" tributary of the Pearl River and is looking forward to the 20th anniversary in 2025. "Our Foshan team of experienced senior and energetic junior staff is able to provide tailor-made solutions for customers", Fan Luo says.
