Today, 1 August, 11 young people start their training with us.
“Welcome to one, no, to the most exciting industry ever! Varied, challenging, with many opportunities to contribute oneself, characterised by diverse tasks, international and so on".
This comment was already on Monday in the editorial of the Deutsche Verkehrs-Zeitung (DVZ). And there is a lot of truth to it. The industry offers a lot for the start of a career, but like many other sectors it also has problems to find suitable junior staff.
Therefore we are pleased that we have once again been able to fill all vacant apprenticeship training positions. 10 trainees as forwarding agents as well as one student for Hamburg baccalaureate in logistics will be joining us today.
At the end of August there will be a three-day trip for all Hamburg trainees. In addition to getting to know each other and working together, the main focus is on having fun. Every year, a nationwide meeting takes place in Hamburg at which trainees from all German branches get to know each other personally and can take a closer look at the group's headquarters. Such events are planned and organised by the young people themselves in consultation with the training management. It is very important to us that our trainees can contribute and implement their ideas and learn at an early stage to assume responsibility.
