A young Polish female, together with two colleagues of similar age from China and Australia, has successfully completed the pandemic break of a. hartrodt's Malaysia Training Academy, which was founded in 2006. Zuzanna Sośnicka, Junior Pricing Specialist at a. hartrodt Polska in Szczecin, benefited from the internal young talent program for cultural, linguistic and professional competence in Kuala Lumpur for eight weeks until the end of June. Kristian Sabitzki is responsible as Regional Managing Director South East Asia and "thrilled by the great interest" with twice as many applications as places. "It was a nice and educating experience," sums up Zuzanna Sośnicka.

Twice a year: opportunity for three enthusiastic employees

In Malaysia, the 26-year-old got to know Southeast Asian work culture, polished her English skills and learned something new about freight forwarding. Three people each get the opportunity in the spring and fall. For the popular places, regional directors nominate enthusiastic employees who have completed their training in order to "develop personally and professionally," says Kristian Sabitzki. This facilitates a career at a. hartrodt.

All departments, English class, CargoWise One certification

Young people go through all departments in Kuala Lumpur in parallel - "from air freight to sea freight, customs clearance, import/export to sales," Kristian Sabitzki explains. In addition, they visit one more of a total of seven Malaysian offices as well as another country. Zuzanna Sośnicka found it "very interesting to see departments we don't have in Poland" such as Telemarketing in Indonesia. Furthermore, the Training Academy facilitates an English course every day. "This time, participants were also able to obtain a CargoWise One certification," Kristian Sabitzki says. The supply chain platform is currently being rolled out worldwide at a. hartrodt.

Kristian Sabitzki is still accepting applications for the next Training Academy, preferably from the Americas. Because the participants, who share an apartment, should "come from all over the world". Zuzanna Sośnicka liked sharing "cultural thoughts and habits" with her flatmates.
