"Our new European truck product has been very well received," is the interim assessment of Sebastian Endt, Regional Managing Director for the Eastern Europe region based in Prague (Czech Republic). "Since a. hartrodt Polska put our first own vehicles into service at the beginning of October, we have been receiving positive feedback and have seen an increase in demand," he reports. According to Robert Marszałek, Managing Director at a. hartrodt Polska in Szczecin, so far there have been truck transports mainly from Poland to Italy, Germany and Belgium. A large tire manufacturer, for example, is hiring the fleet on "more and more routes".

Poland: 100 eco-friendly trucks by 2027

By 2027, Sebastian Endt is pursuing the objective with the Polish company of putting "100 environmentally friendly trucks" on the road. Robert Marszałek himself originally comes from the road haulage sector, where he and his team have excellent networks. This not only makes it easier to organize licenses, says Sebastian Endt: "After our first drivers were recruited, word quickly spread about our fair working conditions and global standards."

Added value through fleet management software

a. hartrodt's truck product offers customers considerable added value. The new vehicles are all state of the art so that industrial or commercial companies can achieve their ambitious CO2 targets. "In addition, with us the customer has absolute control over his consignments," Sebastian Endt emphasizes. Tracking devices of a market-proven fleet management software are installed in the forwarder's own trucks. "This intelligent system enables direct communication with the driver, monitors the vehicle's location in real time and analyzes working times," explains Robert Marszałek. Important for customers: Effective fleet management reduces transport costs.

Sebastian Endt can hardly wait to take a ride on a route himself. As soon as a. hartrodt has gained experience in Poland, the truck product will be expanded to other countries. Starting in 2024, Sebastian Endt plans to "scale our own vehicles to Hungary," and later to Romania as well.
