Ivonne Rada, Managing Director at a. hartrodt Bolivia in La Paz, and her 20 employees are frequently visited by customs at the moment: "We are working to obtain the certification as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), which is recognized by the Bolivian Customs Authority and guarantees safe and reliable operations for all our customers." Within the next two months, Ivonne Rada expects to receive the AEO certificate, but emphasizes: "We are already among the top 10 freight forwarders in Bolivia." The subsidiary has achieved this by continuously working on internal processes for ever better service, according to her.
Tight network in Latin America and worldwide
Despite the pandemic, Ivonne Rada, who has headed the national company since 2010, never gave up on her sales goals and strengthened the sales team by two additional employees last year. The close cooperation within the a. hartrodt family in Latin America plus a global network pay off: "We respond within 24 hours and offer customers added value through better rates, excellent service and easy communication."

Natalia Argandona, La Paz Office Manager, reports: "During the pandemic, we had to find new ways and make a special follow-up to comply with time-critical delivery deadlines." Since 2022, a. hartrodt has also offered tracking & tracing for truck transportation to neighboring countries. "The customer receives documentation with an invoice and cargo manifest before departure and arrival," says Ivonne Rada. Sea freight runs via northern Chilean ports or Montevideo.
With offices in the country's main cities of Cochabamba, La Paz and Santa Cruz, Ivonne Rada is convinced that a. hartrodt Bolivia is well positioned. In Santa Cruz, the plan is to move into a company-owned, larger office "by the end of this year".
