On the occasion of its 20-year-anniversary, the Romanian subsidiary of a. hartrodt presented itself for the first time with its own booth at TransLogistica Romania in Bucharest last week. “We have evolved and grown alongside our customers as a reliable partner,” says Seafreight Manager Ana-Maria Juganaru, summing up the success story. As the longest-standing employee at a. hartrodt Romania, she has been on board almost from the beginning: “Over two decades, a. hartrodt Romania has built a phenomenal team that delivers a consistently high standard of service.” Such personal commitment was celebrated with a festive dinner.
Vertical expertise for end-to-end solutions
While the logistics market was still emerging in 2005, Ana-Maria Juganaru now refers to it as a “fast-growing EU logistics hub” that is integrated into global supply chains thanks to new highways and upgraded port facilities. According to her, customers expect end-to-end solutions, digital connectivity, and resilient supply chains: “Our focus has shifted to integrated logistics with vertical expertise in key industries.”
Regional hub via the port of Constanța
Silvia Poralo, Regional Sales Manager Central & Eastern Europe, sees the Bucharest office as an “important link between Central Europe, the Balkans, and the Black Sea region.” She was Country Manager of a. hartrodt Romania until mid-2023 and emphasizes the importance of the port of Constanța as a “gateway for trade with Turkey, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.” According to Ana-Maria Juganaru, the Romanian team handles containers, project logistics, and intermodal transport via the Black Sea port, including “customs brokerage and distribution, also in neighboring countries.” The role of the national subsidiary as a regional hub via Constanța will be further strengthened.
Silvia Poralo is pursuing growth targets in Romania in strategic verticals such as automotive, retail, and chemicals. In addition, she aims to enhance “the customer experience through visibility and process automation”, as well as supporting more sustainable modes of transportation.
