New Regional Sales Manager for French Europe

With cultural sensitivity, Chi-Hang Lee wants to cooperate closely with customers.

Since March, Chi-Hang Lee has been Regional Sales Manager for French Europe at a. hartrodt, coordinating local sales in Belgium, France and Switzerland from Lyon in southern France. In this newly created position, he is pursuing the goal of expanding and strengthening the sales structure in the region. His focus is on "long-term customer loyalty and diversification of the customer base". Chi-Hang Lee wants to make sales activities "more efficient and effective" in future – for him, this also includes "communication in the region and synergies". He reports to Regional Managing Director Jens Roemer in Antwerp.

Born in Germany with Chinese roots

Chi-Hang Lee holds a Master's degree in East Asian Business from Sheffield University in the UK and joined a. hartrodt in Shenzhen in 2015. Born in Germany with Chinese roots, he was General Manager Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan for almost four years until the end of 2020. During the pandemic, he left his second home "with a heavy heart" to follow his family to France. He mainly speaks French at home.

Sales structure adapts quickly to requirements

Chi-Hang Lee is culturally sensitive and considers freight forwarding as a "people's business" – "understanding nuances, being attentive, showing interest". Through close cooperation and quality service, he wants to "build long-term loyalty with our customers". As soon as they develop inter-regionally, they benefit, in his view, from an "efficient regional sales structure" that can quickly adapt to their needs. According to Chi-Hang Lee, a. hartrodt is trying to "find stability in these volatile times" and is happy to go the extra mile: "Even if market conditions shift and transport flows change abruptly – we react immediately."

Chi-Hang Lee plans to increase his 15-strong sales team by 20 percent until the end of this year. In addition, "the effective use of our Customer Relationship Management" (CRM) program should boost sales. Most recently, Chi-Hang Lee dealt with the CRM processes.
