Since October 1, 2024, Roxane Marchipont has been the new Managing Director of a. hartrodt España, responsible for 15 employees in Barcelona. Born in France, she contributes 15 years of local freight forwarding experience from management positions at various service providers. In September, she initially joined a. hartrodt as Operations Manager. She feels very much at home in the family business: "Customers also appreciate the trustful cooperation with short decision-making processes and tailor-made services." Roxane Marchipont's priority now is to "develop sales in Spain with two additional experts until March 2025".

"Spain is becoming the economic engine of Europe"

The Spanish economy grew in the first six months, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) expects an increase of 2.8 percent for the current year. In 2025, the OECD forecasts 2.2 percent for the fastest-growing economy in the eurozone. "Spain is becoming the economic engine of Europe," says Roxane Marchipont. She wants to use this momentum for a. hartrodt España with focus on Food & Beverage.

Change management with a fresh perspective from outside

"Our added value is providing personalized customer service worldwide," emphasizes the Managing Director. This will be further strengthened in the ongoing change management process, and cooperation within the Group will be reinforced, particularly with offices in South America and Australia. "The customer always comes first. We do everything we can to offer the best high-quality service," she says. With her fresh perspective from outside, Roxane Marchipont has invested in employee trainings, among other things. Further projects over the next months include the pilot phase for a new Global Tracking Portal: "This will allow customers to track their shipments in real time."

Roxane Marchipont completed her studies at the University of Lille with a Master's degree in International Business and has been working in Barcelona ever since. There she has learned "to be more relaxed and flexible, which is necessary for working with Spanish companies".
