Easter greetings from Seidl Confiserie

Top Bavarian chocolatier trusts a. hartrodt for shipments from the Far East.

If you want to give sustainable, hand-finished chocolate products with the best ingredients as a gift at Easter, Seidl Confiserie in Laaber near Regensburg is the right address. With its chocolatier craftsmanship, the family business stands for top quality – this is why it has been working closely with a. hartrodt since 2019. "We handle sea freight imports from the Far East as full container loads (FCL) and less than container loads (LCL) from the port of departure to the factory gate," says Yvonne Hoetschl, Branch Manager Munich & Nuremberg. The shipments include special ingredients such as popcorn or macadamia nuts as well as packaging materials such as satin ribbons or paper boxes.

Three decades of small-edition chocolate art

Seidl Confiserie has been creating small editions of chocolate art for more than 30 years and is very popular with connoisseurs. Yvonne Hoetschl's favorite treats are roasted macadamia nuts coated in milk chocolate, a focus of the product range. After a colleague ate the delicacies in the office, Yvonne Hoetschl drove to the factory outlet herself as a sales employee: "I was very impressed by the individuality and attention to detail."

Peak season for Easter products from October

Therefore, a. hartrodt takes the utmost care in providing individual support and advice to its customers. The sea freight imports for the chocolate specialists are "not mass shipments", emphasizes Yvonne Hoetschl, "every year is different". The peak season for Easter products starts in October. "Now the Christmas business is beginning," she reports. The sea containers are shipped from Taipei (Taiwan) or Shenzhen (China) to Hamburg, from where they are usually transported intermodally by rail and truck to Bavaria. During the pandemic, a. hartrodt managed rail transports for Seidl Confiserie, and occasionally airfreight via Munich is also part of the service.

"We are in discussions to offer parcel delivery for the online store," says Yvonne Hoetschl. She emphasizes the added value of the customer having a fixed contact person. Incidentally, a. hartrodt distributes Easter greetings from Seidl Confiserie to existing customers in Germany.
