Multiple crises, wars and conflicts mean an ever-increasing risk for global trade: "Reliability in the supply chain has declined," confirms Jan Buelck, Head of Sales Europe at a. hartrodt in Hamburg. At the moment, the tense global situation is making it more difficult to plan for the long term. But in uncertain times, a. hartrodt is working closely with customers to find flexible solutions for stable supply chains. Jan Buelck can also "offer suitable solutions" during the upcoming holidays. This service promise is based on trust and continuity.

Open and transparent communication

At a. hartrodt, open and transparent communication with customers forms the foundation of trusting cooperation and enables proactive action. "As a caretaker, we offer a personal contact for all questions and logistics solutions," emphasizes Jan Buelck. With this recipe for success, the family business has been able to navigate safely around many obstacles together with its customers in its 137-year history.

Warehouse services and IT investment

Continuity at a. hartrodt also includes long-term partnerships with ocean carriers, airlines and hauliers. But that's not all: "We can cover other parts of the supply chain to counteract unreliable schedules," says Jan Buelck. He cites an example from the pandemic period when he was working in Hong Kong: In the Pearl River Delta, a. hartrodt unpacked containers, stored goods – and clients saved expensive storage charges at the port during the lockdown. The freight forwarder has also invested in IT systems "to be able to reliably offer shipment monitoring, which is important for customers," explains Jan Buelck.

The experienced staff in a. hartrodt's global network can react quickly to trade barriers through proactive work and crisis planning. What makes Jan Buelck confident: "We expect positive momentum in Asia in 2025."
