Since January 1, 2022, a. hartrodt has positioned itself in the Southern China region with two new Managing Directors: Daniela Gracia (35) is Managing Director of a. hartrodt Hong Kong and FBLOG, the local Food & Beverage company of a. hartrodt. Fan Luo (39) takes responsibility for the region on the Chinese mainland as Managing Director South China. As the new Managing Director of a. hartrodt Shenzhen Logistics, he remains Managing Director of a. hartrodt Xiamen Logistics as before. Jan Buelck, who very successfully managed a. hartrodt in Hong Kong and South China combined for seven years, will shortly move to the management holding company. His new position will be published in the coming weeks.

Area strategically divided

The new appointments include a strategic division of the territories that allow Luo and Gracia to be more accessible by the local teams. This is because cross-border traveling between Hong Kong and South China has simply not been feasible since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. "For me, there are more options of development in mainland China," says Luo, who is based in Xiamen. "Now, every manager can visit customers and together with their local sales team," points out Gracia.

Great growth perspective for all teams

In 2022, the sales teams are to grow – in South China from seven to ten, in Hong Kong from ten to twelve people. In addition, Luo, who has been with a. hartrodt since 2006, is planning four new operational hires, including on the island of Hainan. Gracia started with the family-owned company in Hong Kong in 2015 and was most recently Regional Sales Manager in Greater China.

In Hong Kong and South China, a main focus is on warehousing, with 5,000 square meters of warehouse space in the special administrative zone and in Shenzhen, respectively. Luo wants to expand the warehouse product, especially for Food & Beverage. For this industry a. hartrodt is strongly positioned in the Greater China region, with a common focus on sea freight consolidation for import.

In 2022, the new Managing Directors also want to boost the air freight business – at present, more than twice as much of the company's sales is generated by sea freight. In Hong Kong and South China, a. hartrodt has 60 employees each.
